The third child of the owners of uber-popular Kouzina Greek Taverna -- recently featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives," --  and Tomato Tomato restaurants launched their latest Stamford eatery in December to a soft opening but were immediately busy.

Touted on the restaurant's website as a "throwback" to the "Golden Age," with its romantic decor, Americano is quickly becoming a five-star favorite with foodies and Yelpers alike not only for the food, think fresh seafood, steaks, and even hot chicken sandwiches, but also for the craft cocktails.

Reviews on Yelp sing Americano's praises, especially for the raw bar, charcuterie board, flank steak -- which is said to taste like filet mignon -- the French onion soup, the short rib ravioli, the fresh seafood, and well, okay, just about everything on the menu, even the truffle fries.

Kudos are also going out for drinks which runs the gambit from a classic Old Fashioned to an espresso martini, and a host of bartender-inspired and named drinks.

We can't forget to hype the interior which is superb according to Yelpers and like nothing in the area. Perfect for a special night, or just a place to kick back and enjoy a meal. The restaurant seats 90 people including 20 people in the bar.

Prices are moderate to high, but according to online reviews worth every cent.

The restaurant is located at 261 Main St., in Stamford.
